These are challenges that were proposed during the previous main conferences in medical imaging which are still open for benchmarking.
CETUS - Challenge on Endocardial Three-dimensional Ultrasound Segmentation (MICCAI 2014)
The goal of CETUS contest is to compare left ventricle segmentation methods for both End Diastolic and End Systolic phase instances. This is done using a common database of 3D cardiac ultrasound images acquired from 45 patients and the associated manual references based on the analysis of three different experts.
ACDC - Automated Cardiac Diagnosis Challenge (MICCAI 2017)
The goal of ACDC contest is two fold: i) compare the performance of automatic methods on the segmentation of the left ventricular endocardium and epicardium as the right ventricular endocardium for both end diastolic and end systolic phase instances - ii) compare the performance of automatic methods for the classification of the examinations in five classes (normal case, heart failure with infarction, dilated cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, abnormal right ventricle). The corresponding database is composed of 3D cine-MRI images acquired from 150 patients (30 per pathology plus 30 healthy subjects) and the associated manual references based on the analysis of a clinical expert.
